Lansdowne is one of the most beautiful hill stations of Uttarakhand. Lansdowne is situated in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttaranchal. It was founded by “Lord Lansdowne” in 1887 A.D., who was the Viceroy of India at that time, thus this place has been named Lansdowne. The Garhwal Rifles, which is the part of Indian Army also, has its command office here.

By Road: This hill station is well connected by road with all major cities in Uttarakhand as well as with other states. The distance is around 295 kms from Delhi, 95 kms from Haridwar and 145 kms from Dehradun.
