Kedarnath is the holy temple dedicated to lord Shiva among the Char Dham temples of Uttarakhand. Every year thousands and lacks of pilgrims and tourists visit Kedarnath. The Kedarnath trek journey is approximately 18 Km long and the trek is hard at some places. You can also take mules or kandi. But I recommend you complete your journey on foot. But make sure you are physically fit if not then do exercise or join the gym at least 1 month before your journey so that your body can adapt things properly during your trek. Kedarnath is one of the popular places to visit in Rudraprayag.
Note – Char Dham Yatra Registration is mandatory. You can do it online by visiting the Char Dham Yatra registration website online or visiting the Uttarakhand Tourism official website. But don’t worry Kedarnath registration is included in our Kedarnath Tour Package.
The door of Baba Kedar remains open from the middle of April to mid-November.
The Kedarnath Yatra is a journey of 4 days roughly from Rishikesh.
Kedarnath Location
Kedarnath is approximately 225 Km from Rishikesh in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. River Mandakini originates near Kedarnath. If you are planning to visit Kedarnath this season then Kedarnath tour packages are popular and affordable because of its dramatic location and one of the Char Dham sites. All this area comes under Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and the whole area is covered with snow-capped peaks and mountains, lush meadows and a long 18 Km trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. Thats why Uttrakhand is a heaven for trekkers.
